June 2025
Opportunity Overview
Glow International is hosting a mission trip to Japan in June 2025. The purpose of the trip is to serve returnee families by offering kids camps, adult gatherings, 1:1 conversations, teaching and listening. These events will be held in major cities throughout Japan.
Cost Overview
10 days: $3,718 (estimated costs)
Trip Duration
Short Term: 10 days
Trip A: Osaka 6/9-6/18
Trip B: Tokyo 6/17-6/27
Responsiblities
- Serve on a team
- Spend 1:1 or small group time with Japanese families (all ages)
- Share life stories/testimonies
- Lead short devotions / story telling
Qualifications
- A desire to build relationships and friendships with the Japanese
- A servant's heart
- A strong and growing faith
- Loves Jesus
- Good listener
- Flexible with last minute changes
- Comfortable with working in small spaces
- Comfortable with eating Japanese food/trying new foods
- Comfortable with walking 10,000+ steps a day
- Comfortable with riding public transportation (metro, bus, etc)
- Comfortable with language/cultural barriers
