God is on the Move. Summer 2026 Update
Updated: Aug 29

Every summer Glow families are blessed with unique opportunities to get together at host homes for the day! This summer, our hosts gave of their time, space, and hospitality to provide our Glow community with a pool and picnic day and two lake days! Whether you are floating, kayaking, canoeing, or swimming, these days bring out the best in everyone! Thank you to our hosts, Sharon, Fiona, and Sue; you helped make the summer days more fun!

Glow Kids Camp was an amazing success! Rachel McEachron, the Glow Kids leader, recruited 18 volunteers to serve at the three-day camp in Peachtree City, Ga. Campers learned about creation and who God is. They worshiped, crafted, and played games! For some campers, it was their first time attending a bible-based camp, and for others, they enjoy it so much they just keep coming back! Planting seeds of truth in these young minds and hearts is important work, and we are grateful for the support of FBC PTC, Crossroads Church, and Grace Church through facilities, finances, and volunteers!

A team of 13 people headed to Japan in July. The mission was to meet with returnees, host a pastor’s appreciation meal, host Spark Cafe, an event for Japanese Christian singles, and host Glow Kids English Camp! Many months of work, meetings, planning, finances, and prayer went into this mission trip, and we thank God for accomplishing good work in the lives of many!

A meaningful moment from the Pastor’s Appreciation Dinner occurred when a local pastor’s wife tearfully expressed her gratitude for the encouragement the Glow team brought to her through the special meal, sharing of dreams, and praying over burdens. Japanese pastors often feel alone and isolated while carrying the weight of their people. Encouraging them was a humbling gift, and mission team members' eyes were opened to their great need of support and resources.

Spark Cafe was born from a conversation with a young Christian man who shared how difficult it is to meet Christian women. Our goal with Spark Cafe is to provide a safe, fun, friendly, and intentional space for single Japanese Christians to meet. Our first event, while small, was successful! Games were played and discussions were had! We look forward to the next Cafe soon!

At Glow Kids English Camp, campers learned that Jesus is the Good Shepherd, and He is the way, the truth, and the life. Campers had time to learn, discuss, worship, eat, and play! The first day brought together 37 kids and adults, and days were filled with kids teaching as well as adult teatime and connection opportunities! Our teen girls were especially encouraged in their faith as they shared and prayed about the challenges of being the only Christian in their schools.
Thank you to everyone who donated to our annual summer fundraising campaign, Glow on the Go! Your financial support is vital to the work. We cannot do it without your donations and your prayers. Thank you!

With your generosity, we can further the mission & vision of Glow and spread the gospel to the Japanese.
